Golden Age of Singer Songwriters Cancellation

Dear Spanish River Concerts ticket-holder,

As we cruise toward the conclusion of one of our best concerts seasons ever, I must regretfully inform you that we are cancelling this week’s scheduled performances of The Golden Age of Singer Songwriters. During rehearsals this past weekend we encountered some technical issues that led to this difficult decision. While it was a tough call, the last thing I want to do is present any concert that is not up to our high standards. Based upon discussions with my tech team, that would be the case if we tried to proceed with this production this week.

As much as any of you, I am greatly disappointed by this turn of events, as I was looking forward to this final production to cap off our season. Since rescheduling over the next few weeks is not feasible, I have authorized my staff up north to refund all tickets for the concerts scheduled for tonight and tomorrow night. Over the next two to three weeks, we will credit the card that you used to pay for these tickets. I ask that you be patient, and help us by refraining from initiating any chargebacks with your credit card company; you have my word that any refunds are forthcoming. If you paid by check, you will receive your refund by check during the month of April.

Of course, this isn’t how any of us envisioned our 2022 season ending, but I believe that, given the circumstances, this is the best course of action. You will hear from us soon regarding the announcement of our 2023 concert season. Later this week, we will also announce the specific broadcast schedule for our 2022 virtual season.
